Nothing here is random at Barefaced Skin Studio. Every product, every detail in my room, and every part of your experience has been chosen with intention.
Before anything touches your skin, it touched mine first. I always joke and say I am my own guinea pig, and I truly mean that. I don’t bring anything into my space unless I’ve personally experienced it, trust it, and believe in how it shows up on real skin. And while everyone’s skin and experience is different, I always want to be able to tell you what my experience was like and what you can expect.
After working at two spas, I have had the wonderful opportunity of being exposed to a wide range of products, treatments, and approaches to the skin. Those experiences gave me more clarity on my philosophy and ultimately helped guide what I chose to bring into my own practice.
The two skincare lines I have brought into my practice are (drummm roll pleaaseee) Mixi Skincare and Lira Clinical. I decided on these two lines, even though I hadn't worked with either of them at my previous two spas.
I chose Mixi Skincare because it is designed to intentionally support acne prone skin in a way that works with your skin, not against it. Every product is intentionally formulated to be noncomedogenic meaning it won't not clog your pores or disrupt your skin. Mixi allows me to treat acne while keeping your skin hydrated, balanced, and supported, without compromising the skin barrier, which is something I will never sacrifice in the treatment room for quick results.
I also personally love Mixi Skincare because it was created by an aesthetician. There’s something really powerful about using a line that was built by someone who understands skin in the same hands on, real way that I do. Someone who has worked directly with clients, seen different skin conditions up close, and understands how the skin responds over time.
It means these product were created from real experience and with intention behind how to support your skin during the process.
I chose Lira Clinical so that you can have a luxurious, relaxing, elevated experience while still giving you real, corrective results. It’s results driven and corrective, but this line doesn’t feel overly harsh or clinical. You'll see visible changes while still feeling cared for throughout the experience. I describe this line as if a doctor and an herbalist had a baby. It bridges clinical results with a more holistic, and botanical approach.
I chose both these lines so your skin can be treated effectively while being supported along the way.
